Pune Center faces opposition

Pune Center Update The future home of the India Connection ministry is getting a lot of attention as it rises across the street from Pastor Joseph’s house. It is a physical reminder of how powerfully the Lord is using the India Connection organization. As always, God’s work is stirring up a lot of opposition. The local government halted construction at the site several times over the summer. As we have reported, we have funding in hand to complete the ground level and the first two floors. Those have been enclosed and work is beginning on the interior. Please pray that work on the building would continue without any further delays. The enemy knows this is a critical time – if the building isn’t stopped now, when it is completed it will stand as a witness to the Truth in that neighborhood for many, many years. As with everything in this ministry, there is lots of change and lots to pray about. What doesn’t change is the Lord’s faithfulness. Getting to know the Girls Home kids

One of the great things about participating in the India Connection ministry is the opportunity to form friendships that cross oceans and span cultures. We recently launched a program to bring girls in the US together with the kids at the Girls Home of Pune. Every one of the 25 girls in our care were matched up to a penpal of similar age at several local churches. We will translate the letters into the local language and distribute them. In the future we will not need to translate, as the girls in Pune will need to practice their English....
