We give thanks and praise to the Lord for the unity of the Spirit and bond of peace that was on the 2017 Medical Mission team. We all witnessed His hand over all who served the poor and needy with joy and gladness.
This second year Koinonia College of Theology student was orphaned at an early age. Here he is sharing his story with a young runaway who listens and prays for Jesus to come into his life. This young boy was encouraged to come Sunday services and agreed to meet regularly with the student. How wonderful, praise the Lord! During the week more than 300 Bibles in the local language were given out to those who requested them. The pastors who participated in the clinic’s prayer station referenced and highlighted scripture for them and invited many to come to church at the Sunday service.Let’s all continue to pray for their full understanding of the gospel of grace.
Here Nurse Barb Briggs is taking a patient’s blood pressure and sharing health education on ways to keep it in the normal range. This man was so grateful; like hundreds of others he was amazed at the caring and giving nature of everyone on the International Medical Missions Team. We give all glory and honor to the Lord who sent us! Under the careful instruction of dental supervisor Chris Blieden and assistant Megan Bressler, hundreds of children were given loving care and instruction on proper tooth-brushing techniques. Dr. Christine Jegadesh teaches at the clinic’s pharmacy station, instructing her students in the essentials of proper and accurate medical protocols for the hundreds of patients that come daily. St. John Fisher 4th year pharmacy student Aaron, in addition to serving in the clinic’s pharmacy, is performing blood pressures / diabetes screenings and offers health education in the triage area. Returning St. John Fisher pharmacy graduate Hannah and India staff member Marguerite enjoyed some mango ice cream. It was such a blessing to go out in the evening and have fellowship with the Indian team members. We know that, “The joy of the Lord is our strength”. Please continue to pray for the health needs of the sick and needy as well as for the men, women and children who came for prayer and heard the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you, saints!
