How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?  And how shall they preach unless they are sent? Romans 10:14-15

India is a totally different culture, a totally different world, but it is so sweet. The people there are so kind, so humble, and so loving. If I went there by myself, I probably would just walk the streets, walk through the slums and just pray with people. We have so much here. You’ll get perspective. You might shed a few tears.

At the 5-day medical camp in January we saw over 1,400 people. I had the privilege of being at the prayer station and personally had the opportunity to pray for hundreds of people who had never heard the name of Jesus, never heard the gospel. At least 30 or 40 seemed to make real confessions for Jesus Christ after I explained the gospel in a real way.

One woman came in, and she was troubled. A lot of people have fear and anxiety and they don’t know why. We prayed with an interpreter, and she put her head down on the table and just stopped. So I put my hand over her head and kept praying in English, and one of the Koinonia College of Theology students started praying in Hindi.

When we stopped, after a minute she lifted her head up and her total countenance had changed. She said there was this darkness coming toward her, but as we were praying a light came and chased it away. When I asked Pastor Joseph about that he said, yes that’s true. That happens sometimes in India. Praise God. It happens here sometimes too.

So are you thinking about going on a mission trip? It’s worth it. The key word in all of missions and evangelism is “Go”. First, go to prayer. Go to your prayer closet and ask, “God, are you going to send me? I want to go, will you send me?” Second, go to the Word. Go to the Word of God and get a scripture. He gave me a scripture about India in 2006. I had no idea that He would send me in 2019, but I held on to it because God’s Word is sure.

Then, go to an India meeting. Here in East Rochester they’re on the third Thursday of the month, 7 pm at Koinonia Fellowship. Lastly, go to India. They’re planning a trip in October. There’s another medical missions trip in January next year. Sometimes you won’t know until you go. So Go!
